Jeremiah “J.J.” Gertler, FRAeS
Senior Advisor
An aerospace program analyst since 1984, Jeremiah Gertler joined AeroDynamic Advisory in 2025, providing insight to private clients worldwide. He also co-hosts The Air Power Podcast, is senior associate of the Aerospace Security Project at the Center for Strategic & International Studies, and is the military editor of the Teal Group’s World Military and Civil Aircraft Briefing and editor of Teal’s World Civil UAS Market Profile and Forecast.
He was previously the military aviation analyst for the Congressional Research Service, Congress’s in-house policy shop, for 12 years. Earlier on the Hill, he oversaw the defense procurement budget, missile defense, and other matters for the House Committee on Armed Services and served as military legislative assistant to a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
He has also served in analysis and policy development in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the RAND Corporation, the Center for Strategic & International Studies, and the Aerospace Industries Association.
Gertler is a graduate of Amherst College, the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University, and the United States Naval War College. He was named Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society in 2021.
